Regatta race 2007 day one!
event no5 was NP first race of the day,
the yr1s were called for it,
im proud to be one of them.
we were rowing for the rest,
they gave us their full support.
my friends-our motivations.
we were prepared,
and excited,
we are confident and we know we can do it.
the race started well as our starts brought us to lead,
unfortunately,we collided with SP twice in the race,
our dream was crashed,
we did not qualify.
we were really sadd,many of us teared.
wanting to prove, but luck dint seemed to go our way.
we know we have did our best,
as we walked up full with pride.
seniors patted on our shoulders and said we did well.
most of us just cried.
we felt we have disappointed the team.
some still in anger and cursing.
the next following event was the seniors' turn to perform.
the race started and they wack all their way.
they even overtook all boats by at least a boat length.
what were the seniors thinking in their minds during the race?
when told,we found out and knew..
the seniors were wanting to "revenge" for us..
who was caught in bad luck.
many of us(year1s) were really touched.
we just teared,and really proud of them.
they really wacked their best.
at that moment,i really feel that sense of unity.
even during the crash in our race,
many seniors cried for us.
the sense of unity as a team,
was indeed undescribable.
being in NPDB,makes me realise..
no one is ever alone!!!
out of 12 events,we qualified 10.
great job everyone!
as ah huat said,just simply enjoy.
for tommorrow,i like to wish all seniors all the best!
we will always be with all of u!
let us do it together!
we gonna win!
